Fernandel's heroic parents escaped the violent clutches of the Haitian Duvalier Regime in late 1960s.  Fernandel was later born in Brooklyn, New York and raised in Asbury Park, New Jersey.  He earned a BA from Rutgers University in Political

Science and History.  He graduated with high honors and was a Paul Robeson Scholar.  He then earned a MFA in Film Directing from California Institute of the Arts.  Fernandel is the writer/ director of numerous award winning projects including the 2018 Hollywood Black Film Festival Best Picture OSCAR.  He is also the writer director of the powerful documentary LIVING: Life after HIV financed by the Magic Johnson Foundation.  It shares the real life stories of 2 brave HIV positive black women living in South Central Los Angeles.  Mr. Almonor is currently shopping 2 TV series to networks and developing his next feature film.

Mr. Almonor’s 2nd career passion is inspiring at risk youth.  He has over 12 years experience teaching film and theatre arts programs to at-risk youth in New Jersey and Los Angeles inner city and juvenile detention centers.  Fernandel currently resides on the east coast with his beautiful wife and daughter.

DR. KENNETH R. HAMILTON 

Executive Producer  

Dr. Kenneth R. Hamilton is a multifaceted producer, writer, and entrepreneur, with an extensive background in entertainment, media, and leadership. He is the founder of Debut Management, LLC and Debut Media Group, through which he has produced and managed a variety of television pilots, stage plays, and other creative projects.

 

Dr. Hamilton’s production credits include notable works such as Before the Walk starring Valarie Adams, After the Walk featuring Kelly Price, Flow with Al B. Sure, Angie Stone, and Kierra Sheard, and Rip the Beat starring Peter Gunz. His holiday productions have showcased stars like Phylicia Rashad, Wendy Williams, Robin Givens, and Jasmine Guy. He also served as the Executive Producer and several projects.  In addition to producing, Dr. Hamilton is a sought-after ghostwriter and children’s book author, with a growing portfolio that reflects his passion for storytelling across all ages. His commitment to nurturing creativity and representation in media continues to drive the work of Debut Media Group.

 

Before fully diving into media and production, Dr. Hamilton built a distinguished career in education. He has served and Chief Educational Officer in one of the largest school districts in the state of New York and as well as one of the most prestigious.  He earned his undergraduate degree from Seton Hall University, and pursued graduate and doctoral studies at Seton Hall, Jersey City State University, and Nova Southeastern University. He also completed leadership programs at Harvard and Princeton Universities.

Dr. Hamilton's work in education included launching innovative performing arts programs for middle schools students and the development of a premiere performing arts high school.  

 

Among his honors are a Geraldine Dodge Foundation fellowship at Princeton University, the NAACP Distinguished Educators Award, and a Sybil Yastrow Awardee.  He has also served as a U.S. Delegate to China to study educational programs abroad.

Whether in education, production, or media, Dr. Hamilton’s career is defined by his commitment to innovation, storytelling, and empowering others to find and amplify their voice.
